About Me and My Loves
Howdy Y'all and Welcome! I have been married to my studly hubby for almost 5 years now; who is an energetic, outgoing, handyman helicopter pilot. We recently made our first big move cross country from Utah to Texas with our now 20mo. old "Rae of Sunshine" Azure. We love experiencing anything and everything and holding nothing back. We love dreaming and creating things of all kinds together. I hope that this blog will help our families back home keep up with our busy life, and maybe inspire some along the way...from family to home, money to food, holidays, travel, photography and crafts. this... this is my life!.... Enjoy.

What a day!

This morning I took an awesome flight...two actually. It started at 7am when I hopped in 7530D with my flight instructor Ken.

We flew some patterns around the airport, I was a little rusty after not flying for about a week and a half. Then we headed south over hyrum dam my instructor threw some emergency procedures at me I had to react to. When then flew back towards the Logan airport and just happened to fly over my house. Ken asked if Tiara was home and I said yes so we flew some low circles over the house and out popped tiara to wave at us!

We then flew back to the airport and landed and my instructor asked me what I wanted to do next and I told him it would be fun to do an off airport landing in the field next to my grandpa Gilbert's house in Lewiston. He said ok! So we headed north at 80 knots and did two circles around grandpas house and then landed just outside their window. Grandma and grandpa came out and took some pictures of me hovering 5ft off the ground. We landed then waved and then took off back to the airport. What a fun flight.

My next flight I was scheduled in 4138G with our chief flight instructor Ed. He was going to check my flying skills to see if I was ready to solo yet.

He drilled me! It was hard and I was nervous cause I wanted to impress him. At the end he complimented me and said I did a great job and that I was ready for my solo flight! So in the next week I should get to solo!! Wahoo!!!

I then went home exhausted after flying for 4 hours! (my total flight hrs are 30.3!) ...on my doorstep I found my new headset I ordered. What a nice gift to come home to. It is the Zulu Lightspeed! I am so excited to fly with it! Below is a picture of me chillin at home with my headset. It has Bluetooth and adapters so I can hook it up to my cell phone and my mp3 player. It has such good sound!

That is awsome that you get to fly solo! I was talking to Jimmy's wife today and she feels bad, they didn't even know you got married. Jimmy was mad cause nobody told them. You'll have to get a hold of him.
