About Me and My Loves

About Me and My Loves
Howdy Y'all and Welcome! I have been married to my studly hubby for almost 5 years now; who is an energetic, outgoing, handyman helicopter pilot. We recently made our first big move cross country from Utah to Texas with our now 20mo. old "Rae of Sunshine" Azure. We love experiencing anything and everything and holding nothing back. We love dreaming and creating things of all kinds together. I hope that this blog will help our families back home keep up with our busy life, and maybe inspire some along the way...from family to home, money to food, holidays, travel, photography and crafts. this... this is my life!.... Enjoy.

Christmas has come and gone...

Whoever said that Christmas was relaxing?! Well whomever it was never had a family like ours. Well our holiday started at 11am on christmas eve with when brett got off work. We drove to kaysville to my moms new house and had dinner, then went to my sisters house in hooper and played "would you rather" all night, of course until it was time to play Santa. Well Christmas starts at 5am in my family. So we watched our nieces and nephews bask in the glory of excitement of Santa. After about 3 hours of them opening presents (most of which were from my brother-in-laws crazy mom, trying to out do Santa, but failed miserably) We went back to my moms at 10am to eat breakfast. After stuffing ourselves with Christmas quiche and sausage we headed to Providence to be with brett's mom, stepdad and brother at noon. We opened gifts and then the gilbert family arrived at 2pm and we ate more food and opened more gifts. Then at 6pm we headed thru the storm to Preston to spend Christmas evening with the Reeders (where we found out that Brett's cousin and his wife are expecting and they are 6 months along!!! And no one told us!!) we opened more presents and ate more food!! We got home at about 11:30pm and crashed in our bed, thank heavens for the lazy day after Christmas!

That sound so eventful! I remember the days of traveling light, without kids and caboodle, and loved being able to do whatever we wanted regardless of bedtimes or dirty diapers. What a fun time of life for you newlyweds! It was fun to see you Christmas Eve!

I'm impressed you were able to go anywhere in the snow. Our Christmas wasn't very relaxing either.
