About Me and My Loves

About Me and My Loves
Howdy Y'all and Welcome! I have been married to my studly hubby for almost 5 years now; who is an energetic, outgoing, handyman helicopter pilot. We recently made our first big move cross country from Utah to Texas with our now 20mo. old "Rae of Sunshine" Azure. We love experiencing anything and everything and holding nothing back. We love dreaming and creating things of all kinds together. I hope that this blog will help our families back home keep up with our busy life, and maybe inspire some along the way...from family to home, money to food, holidays, travel, photography and crafts. this... this is my life!.... Enjoy.

Fly, fly away...

So yesterday I was able to go and check out some helicopter flight schools I have wanted to look at. I am thinking about getting my helicopter pilots license! The school had a great program and the guys were really friendly. One of the Salt Lake Radio Stations was on site and had a raffle for a free flight lesson. Well Tiara entered me in and if any of you know of Tiara's luck you wouldn't be suprised to hear that I won!

I got to take the controls with the trainers assistance and fly for 15 minutes towards Kennecot Coppermine. It was an amazing addicting experience! I couldn't believe how touch the controls were and big movements with controls would almost knock us out of control.
It was better than any rollercoster I have ever ridden!

Wife beating husband with whip? Or wounds from thinking we could play basketball? So neither one of is steller at ball, we love the sport but just arent good at it. So instead of making 3 pointers in a hoop, we thought we would spice it up by chucking the ball into the cold river, to see who could fish it out! Well brett won that competition, as he dug thru a thorn bush and fell into the ice cold water up to his bum all in efforts of retrieving our ball from the water.

Basketball's are NOT life preservers!

So with my huge stick in hand I sturdied myself and reached out almost touching the basketball in the raging creek. Just as I grabbed the ball the bank of the creek gave way and I fell in up to my butt cheek. Luckly I grabbed the ball, didn't get my phone wet in my pocket and got out safe and sound. The neighbor dog(size of horse) barking at me the whole time and also the thorn bush I had to go through were no obstacles that could stop me from getting our 4 dollar basketball!

P-I-G

So TIara and I decided to go downtown Park City and purchase us a new basket ball for our basketball hoop in our driveway on the side of the driveway next to the creek. So we found a dandy one for four dollars brought it home and decided to play pig. I said Tiara you go ahead and take the first shot with our basket ball on our hoop. This is the first time someone has played basketball on it since we lived here.

So Tiara took the first shot and missed and then went to take her second shot and just before she let go of the ball I said, "don't let it go in the creek!" of course as soon as the words left my mouth the ball air balls and heads straight in to the creek. Which with spring run off is running very fast. We both scramble and start running down the stream until we got blocked by some trees and brush. So we took off running down the highway with Tiara in front and Brett close behind carrying a huge stick. Oh what the people must have thought with a boy chasing a girl running down the highway both of them screaming and one behind with a huge stick!

So we ran down the street and found the next bridge but no ball in sight. It must have been stuck in the brush on the side of the stream. So we started up the stream in the thick brush to find our 4 dollar wal-mart basket ball! Behold to our surprise it was stuck under a branch on the other side. This is the picture of what it looked like.

NO FEAR!! My sister Sevana, her husband and their kids came to kamas to visit their tewawa and bet! And since we live in the mountains and it snowed on wednesday we took them to the (inside) kamas pool! They loved it! But were very sad that uncle brett had to work. :(

Open terrain!

My brother and I took a ride today starting at mantua and ended up looking down into pineview reservoir. It was an awesome ride we tried to make it to the top of Willard peak but ran into snow. But then we found miles and miles of open trails. It was a good day!

What a nice day to get away!

What a day playin in the mud atop the beautiful mountains everything is so green!

What the...

Would this help your business sell cars by putting a 40 foot alien outside your car dealership?!

This is also the same dealership a couple weeks earlier that tried to make us feel guilty by saying he was a good family man and was a counsler for kids and provided community service and that's why we should buy a car from him... He didn't even tell us anything about how good the cars were! So avoid 40 foot alien!
