About Me and My Loves

About Me and My Loves
Howdy Y'all and Welcome! I have been married to my studly hubby for almost 5 years now; who is an energetic, outgoing, handyman helicopter pilot. We recently made our first big move cross country from Utah to Texas with our now 20mo. old "Rae of Sunshine" Azure. We love experiencing anything and everything and holding nothing back. We love dreaming and creating things of all kinds together. I hope that this blog will help our families back home keep up with our busy life, and maybe inspire some along the way...from family to home, money to food, holidays, travel, photography and crafts. this... this is my life!.... Enjoy.

This is what almost killed me...

Last week I was sitting on the runway with my flight instructor in our helicopter, we had just landed making our call, "Helicopter 38Golf final runway 17" we went in and landed and looked and we were clear. So then my instructor wanted me to try and do a take off with low power. So we tilted the rotor blades forward and started sliding on our skids down the runway to get some speed to lift off, when just as soon as we were in the air we looked up to see an image like below coming at us!!!
There were four lights and a cloud of snow dust...at first I thought it was a snow plow but then we realized it was a leer jet heading straight for us taking off as we were taking off. We called on the radio but no reply from the jet so we hurried and lifted off and luckly we were in a helicopter and we just went off to the right and hovered there as the huge jet went screaming by. We called again on the radio but again no reply. The dumb pilot must not have had his radio on the right frequency.
