About Me and My Loves

About Me and My Loves
Howdy Y'all and Welcome! I have been married to my studly hubby for almost 5 years now; who is an energetic, outgoing, handyman helicopter pilot. We recently made our first big move cross country from Utah to Texas with our now 20mo. old "Rae of Sunshine" Azure. We love experiencing anything and everything and holding nothing back. We love dreaming and creating things of all kinds together. I hope that this blog will help our families back home keep up with our busy life, and maybe inspire some along the way...from family to home, money to food, holidays, travel, photography and crafts. this... this is my life!.... Enjoy.

Study, Study, Fly, Birthday, Study, and Fly some more!

What a week and how fast it seems to fly by. I turned another day older and my cute wife got me some fun presents! Here is one below of my license plate bracket!

Today I went flying for two hours and flew in 30Delta. I am progressing well on flying but need to improve on my ground school. I am having a heck of a time studying. Like for example right now. I have ground school at 7am tomorrow morning but I am writing a stinkin blog about what a slacker I am...

This is me and my instructor Ken. He took a picture of us as I was flying about 5,500 ft

This is where I work to help pay the bills untill I can get a real job flying choppers! Cache Honda Yamaha...I think I like the view from up here better than from in that building!

Another beautiful day in the sky!

Today I flew in 438G which is the call numbers of our Robinson R22 beta 2 helicopter.

We practiced altitude changes, turns, and long straight flight. We also practiced landing approaches and hovering, which is the hardest of all. During our flight we circled twice over grandpa Gilbert's house and once over work.

My flight instructor is awesome. His name is Ken. I have so much left to learn but I am super excited and having lots of fun. I usually land and walk away not being able to wipe the big grin off my face.

Demo Derby

Ah the sound of crashing metal and popping tires oh, and NACHOS, nothing beats a derby! I have always wanted to drive in one. That is still one of my dreams, call me redneck but I'm a Country Girl!

We had fun together and loved that we could walk there because we live closer than most people could park!

Sunday Bliss

When we lived in Kamas, our favorite thing to do on Sundays after church was to take a picnic up in the mountains. So we decided to relive that today. So we headed up dry hollow canyon with some sandwiches and oreos. It was a beautiful day!!

(Our second favorite Sunday activity... Naked Sundays!!)

We found this sign and I want to buy it but Tiara won't let me! What do you think should we have bought it?

Preschool Science Teacher is M.I.A....

So this week was the first week of school. I am the 3 year old Reading teacher, and I love it!!!
So the past two weeks I have been preparing my classroom for school working hard at making it perfect, along with all the other teachers. Well the 3yr old science teacher who was a new hire and well she showed up for one day to sign paperwork, came the next day for five minutes to show her sister the classroom...and never showed again. Not for Back to school night, and definitely NOT for the first day of school!! Who forgets about the first day of school?! Oh and she didn't show for the 2ND day either. So ya, that was weird. So she is no longer a teacher. That's my life, oh and I have an awesome Dr. Seuss Room!

The big move!

First started off packing the Kamas house! We cleaned and had the elders Quorum come over and help us pack our trailer. We filled every inch of that trailer and then put a free sign on the rest of the stuff that didn't fit and put it on the side of the road. Some lady with no teeth stopped and picked it up within the five minutes we had it on the side of the road! Unfortunately as I was loading our glass table into her truck I bumped it on something and the glass shattered...but oh well she was getting it for free... :(

This is right before we closed the trailer door. You can see how high quality of trailer we had. We borrowed it from my ranch and we had used many years. It was packed full full of all of our junk that we are slowly getting rid of every time we move!

We had to stay two weeks in Logan before we could move into our apartment so we hid our trailer in my mom's house she is selling. It had a third garage that the trailer fit perfectly in. Luckly for us we didn't have to worry about weather or wandering hands getting at our junk...uh i meant stuff we had in our trailer.

This is the trailer that we stayed in for the two weeks. It was kind of fun camping out but we were glad to get to all of our stuff packed away.

Wife beaten by dog

You know when you get married you get so excited when its your anniversary...one week, one month. Well tuesday was our 6 month anniversary; and i guess Brett just didnt know how to deal with his excitement. Because i was awoken in the middle of the night from a slug in the face! And it wasn't til I was at work the next morning and discovered the black contusion forming around my eye! His story is that he was trying to save me from a vicious dog in his sleep, and that he was beating the dog... I guess im a bitch.

I feel like im moving to college all over again. The small car ready to explode from overloading with clothes, racing other crammed cars up sardine canyon going 30 mph!

This was my view for the 3 hour drive to logan today. Thank my lucky stars that arch on top didnt come loose and slide right into my front seat! PS this is Brett driving and also Brett's idea to tie the arch on top of the over filled trailer...But we did manage to get everything we own packed in that trailer!

Puff Puff

Oh puff... How you give me such a high!

The little things that you just have to take a picture of!

Jeepy hit the 100,000 mile mark this week traveling to logan to find housing!

Tidal

The hubby and i on the tidal wave with my brothers and niece.

Swinging in action

My all grown up nieces ariana and miriah!

How does a 1yr old end up being the only winner of the raffle out of our huge family. It had to have been riged he cant even hold a pencil without poking his eye out! Oh well he was so proud of the toy tool set and a hat that says "beef its whats for dinner"!

Hey whose that man on the baby swing ride, why is he the only adult and why is there no children around him?!

So we went to lagoon with my family on monday and had a blast! I think Brett enjoyed riding the kiddie rides with my nieces and nephew more than the big kid rides! Thats him in the background in the white hat!

So today was my last day of work at Deer Valley, the moment couldn't come faster! I'm just way too excited to start my new job in Nibley Ut at Little Wonders Preschool. I start setting up my classroom on Monday and school starts on the 2nd of September. I can't wait to have a more structured classroom that is MY classroom and that I don't have to share. Its more of a kindergarten structure; I have two classes a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon different kids.

The saddest part of my last day of work was 1. my favorite little guy Jackson wasn't there today and 2. Olivia the tallest and funniest 4 year old girl gave me the saddest departure ever! As i was walking out the door giving my final farewells to my coworkers I waved one last time to my buddy Liv and the tears welled up in her tiny eyes as she hid in the corner of the playground trying to not let me see her cry. That's when I had to run out to my car to let it all out. I love my students and that's the hardest part of being a teacher...leaving your students or when they leave you!

Yours, Mine and Ours Summer Adventures

This is me trying to convince my loving husband that I will not run off with Dierks Bentley after the concert.
Im behind the camera but this was brett and mines vacation to Jamaica and our bus stopped at a Jamaican hut that had the most delicious Jamaican Jerk Chicken you could ever imagine.
This is the sculpture that is dedicated to my Daddy that will be presented in the new AG building at USU. The image resembles passing down knowledge as my daddy did very well his entire life with teaching and having six children. I love you Daddy!
These next two pictures are ones that I took in my photography class, they aren't much... Im just begining.

So I have found that I am not good at being up to date on blogging, and found many pictures to share. So this is a run down of what my (as in Tiara) summer has been like...
